Each of our team members has a different range of skills and experience,
so we can usually find someone to suit your needs and budget.
Steve – Senior Landscape GardenerSteve
is the founder member of Sorbus Garden Care and the driving force
behind it. He’s passionate about gardening and the environment and loves
sharing his knowledge with anyone who will listen. He specifically
likes to find clients who own dogs as he doesn’t have one of his own and
will be sure to remember your pet’s name even if he forgets yours! He
can be spotted cycling around the village wearing a Tilley hat and
shorts come sun, rain or snow.
Sharon – Senior Landscape Gardener & DesignerAs
well as running Salamander Garden Design and being our ‘office
administrator’, Sharon is RHS qualified and finds time to garden for
some of our clients, gaining great pleasure in making gardens look
beautiful. If it’s a choice between raising invoices or being out in the
sunshine pulling up weeds, there’s no contest!
Rebekah – Landscape GardenerRebekah
works part time for us and is passionate about plants. Sadly, we have
to share her with Waterperry Gardens, where she carried out her
horticultural training. If she has a slot free, you won't be
disappointed.
Karen – Landscape Gardener
Karen has many years' experience
gardening and also maintains the plants around KBS Millennium Green on a
volunteer basis. She does a great job keeping gardens neat and tidy.
Valia – Landscape Gardener
Valia
is passionate about anything to do with nature - insects in particular.
When she's not in the Antarctic on scientific surveys, she can be found
enthusiastically adding beautiful rustic touches to our clients'
gardens to make sure they're welcoming for pollinators as well as making
them look lovely. She also trims a mean hedge.
Louise – Assistant Landscape Gardener
Louise joined us in 2026 and hit the ground running. She comes to us with previous gardening experience and is a hard-working, high-energy person, guaranteed to get things done.
Jacob – Assistant Landscape GardenerJacob joined us in 2025 and has recently completed his RHS Level 2 Practical. He's a good all-rounder and a solid choice. He's got a great eye and cuts a mean hedge.
Ali – Assistant Landscape GardenerAli joined us in 2022 and works part time. She's enthusiastic and will turn her hand to anything garden related.
Jeff – Assistant Landscape GardenerJeff
joined us at the same time as Ali in 2022 and together they make a
great team. If you want your garden to look neat and tidy Jeff's a good
option. Keeping your lawn looking good is a speciality.
Toby – Junior Landscape Gardener
Toby has returned for his third summer with us inbetween his studies. He'll turn his hand to anything but his piece de resistance is cutting lawns.
Joshua – Trainee Landscape Gardener
Joshua is doing some work for us over the Summer before going to college. We're hoping we may be able to tempt him to do an apprenticeship with us...
